And because we wanted to have a special day set aside for our present (O.K., the truth is that we just flat out forgot about it yesterday until it was too late), we didn't give it to her until today. Not her birthday, not her party day...ahem...today. I've never minded late presents myself...even now. Makes the birthday last even longer, right?
Anyway, my really good friend from college, Alisha, and her family (thanks to you too Piper, Coleman, and Ava Grace) had sent our kids a great children's Bible. On the inscription it said that it was for Christmas. Well, it is exactly the same Bible that Grady claims as his own and carries to church in his Veggie Tales Bible cover. So, we thought it would be great to save it for one of Hadley's birthday presents and our present to her would be a Bible cover for it. Stupendous idea.
Well, bummer...we couldn't find a Bible cover anywhere. So, instead we got a cute little make-it-yourself bag kit. Super cute. It wasn't until we were on our way home with it that the light bulb went off. The bag was the perfect size for the little Bible. So, instead of a Bible cover, she would carry hers in a cute little girly bag that she made herself. Turned out to be even better.
Here are some pictures of today and her gifts. As I type this, I just remembered that we even have 2 other little gifts for her...that I completely forgot about (fingernail polishes). Man, we are some on-top-of-it parents these days. :-) Anyway, enjoy the pictures.

Love your flexibility and creativity. I love it when God gives us ideas when things fall through...(Bible cover).
Such fun children! And so pretty! Eissa is turning into a beautiful little girl - looking older every day. Making room for the new baby. Thanks for the pictures. Love you all.
Love,
Mama
