...we roll these days.
And nobody's happy about it.
Nobody.
Hilarious, is it not?
By the way, it was a year ago today that we landed in this fine land of Brasil. Happy 1 year in Brasil to us. It's been good.

So, Gillian holds Eissa and Grady and Hadley share a seat. The car seat with Cass is in the middle and you and Joel are in the front? Why doesn't Eissa like that? I thought she would be thrilled to sit in Gillian's lap. Is there A/C? Or do you all get really hot packed in like sardines? I see the van all the time and wish you all had it. You could really use it now. I will be praying specifically for God to provide a safe, larger vehicle for you and your family now and for a few more to come. He can provide it through someone He already has in mind. Love you all - happy and unhappy.
Love,
Mama
Awe, Michawn...
Yes, funny because you have to laugh, but yes, so sad and unhappy.
a year~!!! so hard to believe! Oh I wish I could hug you! :)
I really feel for you guys! We will be in the same situation soon, but just for a few months. When I was little my parents had one of those station-wagons with a seat in the way back that faced backwards...don't you wish they had them here?!? :) I saw a car recently - I think it was a Chevy - that had a third bench and seated 7 or 8. The trade-off was that there was absolutely NO trunk space. It looked like a hatch-back / compact mini-van style. But with that being a new style, it's probably very expensive. What do you think of the Fiat Doblo?? Not my personal favorite :) Take care!
Love, Chris
I don't know the solution Michawn. We don't have any rich old uncles. :) Maybe Tucker and I could give a couple of tournaments to raise some funds for a start. Then we could just go from there. I promised myself I would NEVER do another cookbook. But I bet I could do a Hough cookbook that would sell like crazy!!! Especially when God was blessing it.
Love,
Mama
I thought you guys had bought a van up there? I remember you being on vacation at that swimming place and talking about getting that one van. What happened?
Eissa was just not happy about giving up her own seat (carseat) at first. She's ok with it now. No, there is no A/C. For the most part, in the city we are in now, we don't need it too much. When we move to the Amazon, that will be a different story.
There are no "vans" here period. We did talk about the possibility of another vehicle and showed one that we had found while on vacation. There are a possibility of a few different vehicles as far as size...there are about 5 or 6 I guess that can seat our family. The problem lies in the fact that it is incredibly expensive. Even old, used, crappy ones are ridiculously priced considering that we'd have to do a major overhaul anyway. Most of the ones that are big enough though seat-wise don't have ANY storage space (as Chris pointed out). There are many problems concerning this topic. Maybe I'll just do a post about it sometime (it really is a crazy situation), but wanted to answer some of these comments in case anybody comes back to read it.
I can't believe it's been a year. Time is flying! I'm so glad it's been a good year for you all. Miss you.
